Somatic therapy service
Why somatic therapy?
Somatic therapy works with the nervous system, sensations and emotions, traumas and limiting beliefs that have become trapped in your body (soma). This can result in people self-medicating, leading to addictive patterns and behaviours. Somatic Therapy is offered separately to our residential programmes.
Somatic therapy is for you if you want to:
- Release emotions and trauma which might have contributed to addiction. - Haven’t made progress after trying modalities such as talk therapy. - Are ready to make transformational changes to reset your nervous system and reset physical, emotional and mental imbalances.
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapist Liz Webster will tailor each session around your needs. She will work with you to build trust and to create a safe container so that your nervous system and body will allow you to release trapped energy and emotions that cause tension, stress, pain, addiction, limiting beliefs, negative self-talk and general dis-ease. Liz has her own lived experience with trauma, addiction, mental health, codependency, family dysfunction and family estrangement, which enables her to hold a compassionate, safe container for clients during sessions.
